ChildUp Flash Cards {Review}

I had the opportunity to review the following early learning game card sets with my 5 year old son and we had a blast counting all of the animals on the cards!

My son has been going through daycare since he was 5 months old and just recently last week, he graduated from pre-K and he will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. I thought they would teach him how to count to 20 in pre-K but I found out that he gets to 13 and then skips around. Although, one day he started at 20 and counted all the way to 40 so I am not sure why he gets confused with 10-20. These cards will be great to use over the summer while we are home and will get him ready for Kindergarten in September!

Here is some information about the 2 packs of cards we were able to review:

Teach Your Child to Count to 10 - Math & Logic #1 is the first pack of ChildUp Early Learning Game Cards, a series of educational tools for parents, caregivers, and early teachers who intend to develop, by playing in an interactive way, the learning and intellectual skills of their children and to best prepare them for school and future academic excellence.

Teach Your Child to Count to 20 is the 2nd pack (the complement of the 1st pack, Teach Your Child to Count to 10) of the ChildUp Early Learning Game Cards, a series of educational tools for parents, caregivers, and early teachers who intend to develop, by playing in an interactive way, the learning and intellectual skills of their children and to best prepare them for school and future academic excellence.

Here is a short video of us playing with the cards...we had gone through the first pack of cards already so he is a little antsy for the 1-20 pack...I thought I was recording the first pack but I never hit the button so we had to record the second pack instead!

He did pretty good with them and had fun looking at the animals...but he was cheating a couple times and looking in the on the computer at the camera to see what number was on th back of the card...but I caught him! ;)

He has actually come up and asked me a few times to play with the cards so he did like playing with them, which I think kids learn more by playing anyway so this system works well by allowing that!

We both really liked playing with the cards, I did have to help him recognize some of the animals but that was part of the fun too. Each pack comes with instructions for parents to read first so you know how to manage the cards. I know we'll be playing with these a lot more over the upcoming months to prepare for Kindergarten and while I see them as a learning tool, he sees it as a game so it's a win-win situation!
